What Type of Home Care are You Eligible for?

Consumer Eligibility

To be quality for CDS, you must:

1.     Be eligible for Missouri Medicaid/MO HealthNet. Requirements include:

      - Net household income of less than $885/month if            single or widowed

      - Net household income of less than $1,198/month            if married

      - Own assets worth less than $2,000 if single

      - Own assets worth less than $4,000 if married

1.     Be disabled and capable of making decisions regarding both your health care and your responsibilities as an employer.

2.     Be over 18 years of age.

3.     Score at least 24 points on a needs assessment performed by DSDS.

4.     If you earn more than the income limit to be eligible, you may still qualify through a spend down, like a tax-deductible.

Attendant Eligibility 

To become a CDS home health aide, you must:

1.     Be at least 18 years old.

2.     Be able to meet the physical and mental demands required by the consumer.

3.     Agree to maintain confidentiality.

4.     Not be the consumer’s spouse.

5.     Must pass state background screening process
